This collection explores birth, death and rebirth, in respect to the Benin culture and how it is presented in the women of the Benin kingdom.
Women’s bodies are not political playgrounds. Amidst globalisation, women living in Africa are largely still expected to act and dress a certain way. This editorial goes against the concept where women are required to blush at bigotry or wallow blissfully in misogyny.

The Ebon Machi captures the relationship between spirituality and masculinity, in three main directions. Upward, in worship and devotion to nature. Inward, towards the acknowledgment and appreciation of self. Downward, gearing towards seeking to help and bless others.

Joseph Ejiro presented his Spring/Summer 2025 collection on the runway at FashionEVO 2024, staged with Africa Creative Market Global. The collection was built from sustainable materials and ethical practices, with structured pieces and flowing dresses embellished with hand embroidery, and a predominant black colour palette throughout.
