The print reads first as shadow and then as architecture. A field of interlocking triangles covers the bodice and long sleeves in deep navy on navy, the geometry precise enough to evoke Uli body painting and Kuba cut-pile textile patterning, abstract enough to remain purely formal. Below the hip, the pattern releases and the fabric becomes plain, the gown flaring gently to the floor in uninterrupted navy mikado. The mock turtleneck closes the silhouette at the top, lending it a severity that the sensuous movement of the flared hem quietly undercuts. Each piece is made to measure in San Diego and fulfilled individually to the client’s exact dimensions.
