The top is built from the same technical spacer fabric used in Look 4, but here it serves as the ground for a sequence of large-scale three-dimensional floral appliques positioned across the shoulders and chest. Each flower is constructed individually from layers of fabric and wire, creating a sculptural quality that makes the jacket as much object as garment. Below, a full-length black taffeta skirt falls in a mermaid silhouette, its surface interrupted by finely spaced vertical pintucks that catch the light and create a subtle shimmering texture. The combination of the structured, textural top and the long, fluid skirt results in a silhouette that is unmistakably formal while remaining conceptually rich.
