The Uli Sculptural Bodice Gown takes its name and organizing logic from the Igbo tradition of Uli body painting, in which linear marks trace and extend the natural contours of the body. Here that principle is translated into construction: seaming and structural boning follow the body’s geometry with the deliberateness of a drawn line.
A sweetheart neckline, an open back, and a full A-line skirt that moves to the floor like something that has always been regal. Part of the Homecoming FW25 collection by Joseph Ejiro.
Cotton (magenta). Sweetheart neckline, open back. Structural boning at bodice. Full A-line skirt, floor-length.
